Central Queens Edition

Central Queens: A region of middle class residential villages accessed by Queens Boulevard, a main arterial highway. The region is well known for the Incorporated Village of Forest Hills Gardens, a residential enclave containing magnificent English Tudor style estates, privately-owned brick-paved roadways and handsome trees. The village has its own station on the Long Island RR and a small shopping area called Station Square featuring boutique shops and restaurants. Non-residents are prohibited from parking on the private streets inside the Gardens.

There are luxury hi-rise apartments and condominiums throughout Central Queens with direct rail links to Manhattan via Long Island RR and/or express subways and buses. Austin Street and Continental Avenue feature branches of major retail chains, such as The Gap, Warner Brothers Studio Store, and Barnes & Noble and there are attractive malls, parks and excellent public and private schools throughout the region.
